MagTek’s Reader Management System is a suite of apps and source code that automates the ability to configure and update MagTek readers, across an enterprise deployment, in a large quantity of geographically separated and installed readers. Developers and users can create an auto-launch or single-click within their application.

MagTek Reader Management System (RMS) is a suite of Apps and Source Code designed to help automate the ability to configure and update MagTek readers across an enterprise deployment. The main purpose of the system is to load and manage firmware, inject keys, configure device settings, load and manage terminal and application settings, and load and manage certificate authority public keys (CAPKs) needed for EMV contactless reading.

The purpose of this document is to walk users through the steps to update MagTek iDynamo 6 with the latest firmware, EMV tags, and CAPK files as required by the Card Brands. This process requires the use of MagTek’s free Reader Management System iOS app. This update process should take less than 15 minutes per device.
