The enclosure and associated electronics form a tamper resistant security module (TRSM) where attempts to penetrate or modify the unit cause all keys to be cleared and/or stop the unit from functioning.

TDEA and AES Encryption Security

DynaFlex II SCR products deliver industry best practices for data protection, supporting AES-256 encryption with CMAC Authentication and triple DEA encryption both with derived unique key per transaction (DUKPT) key management. Scanned, tapped, dipped, and swiped data are encrypted as soon as they are entered into the device.
