The Network Engineer will be responsible for management and maintenance of the company's LAN/WAN environment and related systems. It will include the participation in and oversight of the daily upkeep, patching, monitoring, troubleshooting, and administration of the company’s network infrastructure and related systems on-premise and cloud. This position will also assist with the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure and architecture.
$80,000.00 - $125,000.00/yr. Full-time Position at our Seal Beach, CA location
Roles and Responsibilities
- Executing alterations to network infrastructure on routers, switches, and firewalls
- Aiding in project management, assessment, and resolution of networked solutions
- Contributing to capacity planning and modeling
- Offering comprehensive IT support for system and application inquiries
- Ensuring network and system security through policy administration and technical controls
- Conducting research, assessment, and suggesting innovative solutions and technologies
- Engaging in Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and implementation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in installation, management, and support of routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, and/or Barracuda)
- 3+ years of experience with TCP/IP, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VPN, BGP, wireless APs
- Hands-on experience with local and remote data center environments
- Proficiency in implementing and resolving issues related to TLS, SSH, RDP, DNS, NTP, HTTP, SMTP, LDAP, Microsoft AD, et. al.
- Experience in overseeing IDS/IPS and EPP solutions and handling associated incidents
- History of generating detailed documentation
- Desirable experience with Microsoft Azure and Office365
- Familiarity with Hardware Security Module (HSM) a plus
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and customer service orientation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Work environment primarily in an office setting
- Availability for after-hours and weekend work when necessary
- Capability to lift up to 50lbs
