This demo includes operating examples for various MICR models, the MT-85 (LoCo) and MT-95 (HiCo) encoders, and the Port Powered RS-232 and USB family of swipe and insert readers as well as the MT-211232. Any RS-232 or USB port can be used.

This program demonstrates card reading for the USB HID and keyboard emulation readers. It also allows a user to send commands that change the device's configuration for both the USB HID and keyboard emulation units. These commands can either be entered manually or downloaded from a MagTek supplied, or user-created, text file. This package also includes the demo application's source code to assist developers.

The Port Powered Insert Reader OCX contains all of the necessary properties to detect that a card has been inserted and to extract an assortment of properties from the magnetic card data.
