About the Role – Technical Writer
As a Technical Writer, you will collaborate with a team to discuss requirements and create, format, and edit customized technical documents. In this role, you will work across departments to solve problems and ensure program objectives and requirements are met on time. Serve as a liaison between the Engineering and Marketing departments.

$70,000.00 - $120,000.00/yr. Full-Time position at our Seal Beach, CA location.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Independently gather information from subject matter experts (SMEs) about functions, features, and requirements to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
- Perform writing tasks for a variety of technical documents, including user manuals, installation manuals, programmer manuals, help documents, and tutorials.
- Collaborate with engineers to describe newly implemented features.
- Release product documentation in an Agile environment and help define and document processes and procedures.
- Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement.
- Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience.
- Provide styling, formatting, and editing for Engineering and Marketing documentation.
- Use AI tools to boost productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop documentation for our payment terminals, software SDKs, and APIs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Effective planning, scheduling, researching, and writing skills.
- Excellent writing, communication, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with an eye for prioritization.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI tools to boost productivity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with other departments in coordinating releases and updates.
- Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be a quick learner, self-starter, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
- A basic understanding of software and electronics, including communication protocols, is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with documentation platforms like MadCap Flare, Paligo, or Document360.
- Familiarity with source control systems such as Git-based version control.
- Knowledge of Markdown language for content creation.
- Experience with project management tools like Jira.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following AI tools for technical writing:
- AI Writing Assistants: ChatGPT, Claude AI, Grammarly, Jasper.
- Research & Summarization: Perplexity AI, AI Summarizer.
- Plagiarism Detection: Copyscape, Duplichecker.
- Visuals & Diagrams: Canva, Snagit, Loom.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks.
