This collection of programming tools and drivers has been developed by the MagTek Software Department to assist our customers in creating reliable programs with the least amount of effort. Some of these tools—especially the drivers—eliminate the need for the programmer to know how a device communicates with the PC.
- The IntelliConfig program comes in handy if you have to reconfigure a number of products from the MagTek default to some custom format for your application. The program supports IntelliPIN, MICR check readers, MiniWedge swipe readers and a number of other products.

- If you are developing an application for one of the IntelliStripe or other MCP-based products on a non-Windows platform, the MCP Developers Kit provides the essential elements to communicate with these devices and offers an easy transition from your program to the hardware layer.

- When incorporating the Delta ASIC into a microcontroller application, the Shift-Out hardware timing can be perplexing. This well-documented sample C code will make the task easy for just about any application.

- Drivers
- When using the IntelliStripe family of products, MCP plays an important role in structuring the communication between magnetic stripe cards or smart cards. The MCP drivers virtually eliminate the need to know how the device is connected to the PC. For example, your application will not have to change even if you change from an RS-232-connected device to a USB-connected device.

- If your software relies on the Windows OS, the MTD drivers are indispensable in optimizing the interface to the communication level of the various types of readers. If your POS application relies on OPOS, the MTD/OPOS driver package provides an error free path to collect all transaction properties.

- Some existing applications rely on communication with the legacy COM (RS-232) port on a PC. If the application needs to communicate with some of the newer MagTek USB products, we provide a collection of virtual COM port drivers. These drivers convert the USB physical interface into a logical COM port interface.
