Software Test Technician

Under general supervision, the Software Test Technician is responsible for the test and verification of all software applications including the setup and configuration of test platforms and test equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform testing on all software applications including but not limited to PC (Client and Web Applications, Windows and .NET DLLs, COM Objects, ActiveX Controls, Java Applets, Web Services), Mobile (Android, iOS, Windows Phone).
- Setup and test all platforms that use MagTek software applications and components in a simulated field environment.
- Recreate field conditions in order to replicate user problems.
- Provide technical software support to hardware Engineers.
- Support call center personnel on software related questions and issues.
- Write code to perform tests (automated and manual) on various software solutions provided by MagTek.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of the PC environment.
- Able to troubleshoot PC related problems and issues.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Follow directions and schedules laid out for the project.
- Work needs to be thorough, timely, and of high quality.
