If you are developing an application for one of the IntelliStripe or other MCP-based products on a non-Windows platform, the MCP Developers Kit provides the essential elements to communicate with these devices and offers an easy transition from your program to the hardware layer. The kit contains source code that can be used to implement the MCP protocol. The protocol source code is written in C code and contains an API. An example application is provided, written in Visual C++ for Windows, that can be used to demonstrate the MCP protocol. This application also demonstrates magnetic stripe card reading.

This Software Development Kit (SDK) contains the necessary tools to develop applications using MagTek USB HID Readers (Non Keyboard). The package is a Windows API/DLL which provides a demo application, sample code and documentation for the programming environment.

This Software Development Kit (SDK) is for developers who want to create software solutions that include an aDynamo, uDynamo, Dynamag, eDynamo, mDynamo, DynaDip, DynaMAX, tDynamo (Gen I, II), DynaWave, DynaPAD, iDynamo 5 (Gen III) or iDynamo 6 device connected to a Windows-based host via Audio, USB, or Bluetooth LE. This package is a Windows .NET API which provides a library, sample code, and documentation for the programming environment.

This comprehensive demo supports a number of MagTek products. This demo includes operating examples for various MICR models, the MT-85 (LoCo) and MT-95 (HiCo) encoders, and the Port Powered RS-232 and USB family of swipe and insert readers as well as the MT-211232. Any RS-232 or USB port can be used.

This program demonstrates card reading for the USB HID and keyboard emulation readers. It also allows a user to send commands that change the device's configuration for both the USB HID and keyboard emulation units. These commands can either be entered manually or downloaded from a MagTek supplied, or user-created, text file. This package also includes the demo application's source code to assist developers.

When using the IntelliStripe family of products, MCP provides an important role in structuring the communication between magnetic stripe cards or smart cards and the application. This driver may be used to communicate to devices that use the MCP protocol. This driver supports both the RS232 and USB devices, and only works on current Microsoft Windows Platforms. Users that are developing applications for platforms other than Windows should use the MCP Developers Kit. The MCP driver package combines three versions of the MCP drivers: 1) The Kernel Mode Driver is included for Windows XP/Vista/Win7 (for 32-bit versions only, see #3 below for information on 64-bit operating systems). This driver also supports MCP USB devices. 2) A User Mode Driver/Library is included for installations that cannot support Kernel Mode drivers. This User Mode Library can be installed for 64-bit operating systems, as well as Citrix and other thin-client installations where a Kernel Mode driver cannot be used. 3) A 64-bit driver for Windows XP/Vista/Win7 64-bit. This driver supports MCP RS232 and USB devices. The included Protocol Switching Utility may be used to switch MCP devices from native (MCP) mode to ASCII mode. In ASCII mode, the device is set to communicate at a specific baud rate (9600,8,N,1), rather than negotiating with the device to establish this value on each power up. This mode of operation is required to effect communication with MCP devices under 64-bit Windows operating systems and thin-client environments. This utility may only be used under a 32-bit Windows Operating System in conjunction with the MCP driver. Once the device has been set to ASCII mode, it may be used in the desired 64-bit or thin-client environment.

The USB HID Insert Reader OCX includes all of the features relevant to MagTek’s USB Insert Reader family.

The Port Powered Insert Reader OCX contains all of the necessary properties to detect that a card has been inserted and to extract an assortment of properties from the magnetic card data.

This demo incorporates the USB HID OCX to show how easy it is to communicate with the MagTek USB HID insert readers. These demos can be used to acquire data via IE web browser.
