The Swipe & Park manual-insert OEM card reader allows for fast and reliable reading of magstripe and/or Smart Card data on cards that meet the ISO 7810, 7811, 7816 specifications. Its ergonomically designed, low-profile chassis combines the benefits of a traditional magstripe swipe reader with that of a manual insertion Smart Card reader. The result is a card path that allows the user to reliably read magstripe card data prior to engaging the Smart Card contacts. This sequential path arrangement ensures that the both the magstripe and Smart Card data are available to the host system after a single insertion cycle. Once engaged at the Smart Card contacts, Smart Card communications can commence as required.
The Swipe & Park chassis can withstand a wide range of operational and environmental conditions, and is an ideal OEM card reader solution for environments such as POS terminals, Hand-held terminals, ATMs, Vending Machines, or Self-Service kiosks.
The Swipe & Park OEM chassis allows terminal designers to integrate the card-reader chassis into their own products, and to utilize their own electronic designs for magstripe and Smart Card data processing.
