Data from the reader is transmitted using keyboard scan codes. The reader can be placed up to 10 feet from the PC. In addition to reading 2-track ISO cards, this reader also supports an optional PINPad that can be programmed for encrypting or non-encrypting operation. The reader and/or PINPad can be disabled via the application program. Self-adhesive mounting pads are included.
